Ms. Fowler is the principal of DeQueen Elementary School in Port Arthur, Texas. Prior to her promotion to her current position in the Port Arthur Independent School District, Ms. Fowler’s previous positions included, curriculum specialist and elementary supervisor, part-time and assistance principal at Travis Elementary School and teaching first grade at Washington and Travis Elementary Schools. Ms. Fowler is a certified trainer for “Teach Students of Poverty.”

Ms. Fowler had the distinction of being the first African-American woman to serve as a Board Chair of the Life Resource Board of Trustees.

Currently, Mr. Harris is the site owner’s representative for the Shangri La Project in Orange, Texas. Mr. Harris is retired from DuPont de Nemours E.I. & Co. in Orange, Texas, and is the owner of the Farmers Mercantile Company and a partner in Harris Farms.

He is a graduate of Texas A&M College in College Station, Texas with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
